Part I — Website Privacy Policy

Information Collected Through This Website

The public website at lperezcounseling.com is intended primarily to provide information about the practice, services, fees, insurance, and ways to make contact.

Simply viewing the website does not create a therapist-client relationship.

Like most websites, the site’s hosting and technical service providers may automatically process limited technical information needed to deliver, secure, and maintain the website. This may include information such as:

  • IP address
  • Browser or device information
  • Date and time of a request
  • Pages or resources requested
  • Technical or security logs

This technical information is not intentionally used by the practice to determine your mental-health status or create a clinical record about you.

Information You Choose to Provide

If you contact the practice by email, telephone, scheduling platform, or website contact feature, the information you choose to provide may be received and used to respond to your inquiry.

For your privacy, please do not include detailed clinical information, diagnoses, treatment history, Social Security numbers, or other highly sensitive information in an initial website message or ordinary email.

A brief description of what brings you to treatment is sufficient.

Email

Email may not provide the same privacy protections as a secure clinical portal.

Email should generally be used for administrative communication such as scheduling, billing questions, or making initial contact rather than for detailed clinical information.

Once you become a client, you will be informed about the appropriate methods for clinical communication.

Scheduling and External Services

The website may contain links to third-party services used for scheduling, insurance, billing, secure messaging, telehealth, or other practice operations.

When you follow a link to another service, information processed directly by that service is also subject to its privacy practices and applicable contractual and legal protections.

The practice uses HIPAA-compliant services and Business Associate Agreements where required by HIPAA.

Website Analytics, Cookies, and Similar Technology

The practice does not intentionally use advertising technology to profile visitors based on mental-health interests or sell website visitor information.

The website or its hosting providers may nevertheless use essential technical processes necessary to operate, secure, or deliver the website.

If analytics, advertising technology, cookies, or other tracking technologies are added in the future, this policy will be updated.
